Interesting. I have experienced “travel shock” with many teas, but never stopped to notice a difference between oolongs and others. Any theory as to why that is? Just the loose leaf vs. compressed nature?

For me that was mainly it – some of the loose leaf was pretty loose and easy to damage in transit.

ha ha ha!! The weird part is, there actually ARE people who think Taiwan Beer is great…mainly seems to be the same foreigners who end up living forever in Taiwan and think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread *cough*..
