It’s odd. I had some Yunnan gold today, and a slight headache showed up a little after I drank the stuff.
That is, in and of itself, not too interesting. Afterall, there are lots of things that can cause a headache. What’s odd is that I normally don’t have headaches, and I noticed that last time when I drank a bunch of black teas (i.e. when I was drinking those Keemuns) I was suffering from headaches during the day.
I have no good explanation for it, except that they seem to be correlated — and drinking those teas seem to precede the headache. Too much caffeine too quickly? Too concentrated a dose? Something else?

I got an Adagio sampler pack about two years ago…I think I recall the Yunnan Gold not agreeing with me at all as well. Ended up throwing much of it out.

Yeah, it’s strange… I don’t know why. This is not adagio, but still….
I thought it’s just me, but I guess not?

Tea and headache may be an individualized response but not due to caffeine is my thinking. After mulling over this entry for some time, I remembered that jasmine tea always gives me a headache. At first I thought it was from a cheap substitute for the blossom but even after trying some expensive varieties, always the same effect. Now I can’t even get a whiff, it repulses me. No jasmine in my field of vision. Eileen

That’s very interesting…. never had a problem with jasmine myself, but it seems like blacks don’t agree with me except in small doses.
I’ll just have to keep an eye on this phenomenon
