Lovely day to be delayed, Christmas Eve, and my flight from SFO to IAD has an air conditioning problem, jeopardizing my connection to CMH from IAD. Yay
Yeah whisky prices have been leaking too, as well as luxury watches. I wrote a post maybe a decade ago…

Lovely day to be delayed, Christmas Eve,
Oh, that’s rotten!
and my flight from SFO
That would be San Francisco; even I knew that.
to IAD
Washington Dulles (thanks, Google!)
has an air conditioning problem, jeopardizing my connection to CMH
Columbus, Ohio…
from IAD. Yay
Wait a minute – SF to DC and back to Columbus? Ouch!

Yeh, I was wondering the same thing. It’s like he got the cab driver who goes the long way to jack up the fare! Doesn’t sound like a trick MarshalN would normally fall for.

Well, it’s a matter of timing of flights from Taiwan connecting to something that will then connect me to CMH. Besides, plane tickets prices these days have very little to do with how far you’re actually flying.
But the whole thing fell apart as my flight got cancelled because of an equipment problem. I’m almost leaving SFO….. almost 12 hours late.
Ugh

Sorry I couldn’t meet you at the airport; at least it was nice to talk to you.
I hope you make it to Columbus safely.

Well I know it is less annoying than in your case, but I got delayed on my Eurostar too and missed the last train from Paris as a matter of fact, so I had to spend Christmas Eve there instead of celebrating with my friends. Not cool 🙁

Yeah, my Christmas eve was spent in the SFO airport and then on a flight to ORD. That was fun.
At least I got home early on Christmas day…
